Idol immersion held peacefully under strict security | News

DHAKA, Oct 3, 2025 (BSS)- Bijoya procession and idol immersion ceremonies marking the end of the Sharadiya Durga Puja festivities were held peacefully in the city under the strict security arrangements of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP). On the occasion of Bijoya Dashami, the farewell day of Goddess Durga, the capital city Dhaka and other parts of the country echoed with sacred hymns and vibrant celebrations. According to a press release signed by Muhammad Talebur Rahman, Deputy Commissioner of the DMP’s Media and Public Relations Division, the entire event was held in a safe and orderly manner.
