MANIKGANJ, Oct 3, 2025 (BSS) - A 22-day government ban on catching, selling and transporting Hilsa fish will come into effect from October 4(Saturday) to save mother Hilsa during the peak breeding season in three upazilas of thedistrict.District Fishery Officer (DFO) Md. Saifur Rahman said the government has announced a nationwide 22-day ban, effective from October 4 to 25 this year."Mother Hilsa Conservation campaign was being conducted through all three upazilas of the district.
