2 killed in Jhenaidah road accident | District

JHENAIDAH, Oct 2, 2025 (BSS) - Two people, including a child were killed and another injured in a road accident at Atharomail Bazar area under Sadar upazila this afternoon. The deceased were identified as Nazrul Islam, 65, son of late Nizam Uddin of Nagar Bathan village, and his grandson Sifat Hossain, 8, a resident of Jibannagar upazila. Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mrittunjoy Biswas of Jhenaidah Arapur Highway Police Station confirmed the accident. The accident occurred around 2 pm at Atharomail point on the Chuadanga-Jhenaidah highway when a passenger bus of Mondol Paribahan collided head-on with a battery-run auto-rickshaw.
