Durga Puja ends with immersion of idols in Ctg | Others

CHATTOGRAM, Oct 2, 2025 (BSS) - The five-day Durga Puja, the biggest religious festival of the Hindu community, concluded today in Chattogram with the immersion of Goddess Durga's idols at Patenga and Khalurghat beaches amid festivity and tight security. Thousands of devotees thronged the banks and beaches to bid farewell to the Goddess before the idols were carried for immersion in water bodies. Marking Bijoya Dashami, a vibrant procession started from the city's historic JM Sen Hall Temple, parading through major streets before ending at Patenga sea beach where the immersion took place.
