The prices of all types of fruits have risen in the capital due to a supply shortage, according to traders. In retail markets, fruits are now being sold at Tk 30 to 80 higher per kilogram compared to previous rates. Traders said the disruption in supply occurred because, during the Durga Puja festival, trucks carrying Indian goods via land ports were not operating.
