Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus has returned home from the US after a nine-day visit. He landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka on an Emirates Airlines flight at 9am on Thursday, the Chief Advisor's Office said. Yunus arrived in New York on Sept 23 to attend the 80th session of the General Assembly and other high-level meetings. This year, the chief advisor's entourage included six politicians. BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, BNP Acting Chairman's Foreign Affairs Advisor Humayun Kabir, Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer Syed Abdullah Muhammad Taher, National Citizen Party (NCP) Member Secretary Akhter Hossen, NCP Joint Convener Tasnim Jara joined the delegation from Dhaka.
