Court sends ex-MP Mukti to jail after remand  | Others

DHAKA, Oct 1, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today sent former MP of Narail-1 constituency BM Kabirul Haque, Narail district vice-president of the banned Awami League and AL’s central executive member Md Mozammel Haque to jail in connection with a case. They were on a six-day remand in a case filed by Gulshan Thana police under the Anti-Terrorism Act for raising provocative slogans on September 22. Police produced them before the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate's Court today after a six-day remand. After hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Sefatullah rejected the bail prayers of the duo and ordered to send them to jail.
