Naogaon Jamaat expels upazila amir for sexually harassing students

Maulana Monayem Hossain, Amir of Sadar Upazila Jamaat-e-Islami in Naogaon and a teacher at Enayetpur Dakhil Madrasa, has been expelled from the party following allegations of sexually harassing madrasa student. The decision was taken during an emergency meeting of the Naogaon District unit Jamaat on the night of Sunday, September 29, based on findings from a three-member internal investigation committee. The committee concluded that Hossain had committed acts of “moral turpitude,” leading to his immediate expulsion and the cancellation of his party nomination for the post of Sadar Upazila Parishad Chairman.
