Security guard caught ‘admitting patients’ at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital

A video has gone viral on social media showing a security guard at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital admitting patients to the emergency department. The footage, recorded around 5:15pm on Monday, shows security guard Tamim Hossain seated in a chair inside the emergency department’s medical officer’s room. At the time of the incident, the on-duty emergency medical officer, Nishat, identified with a single name, was absent. Mymensingh Medical College Hospital Assistant Director (Administration) Dr Md Mainuddin Khan called the incident “unfortunate”, adding: “A security guard can never do such a thing.” The scene was recorded by Ali Hossain, former member secretary of the Students Against Discrimination's Mymensingh unit.
