Ex-MP Bubli denied bail in anti-terrorism case | Law and Court

DHAKA, Sept 30, 2025 (BSS) – A court here today rejected the bail petition of former member of parliament (MP) from a women reserved seat and Narsingdi district Awami League (AL) women affairs secretary Tamanna Nusrat Bubli in a case filed under anti-terrorism act. Metropolitan Magistrate of Dhaka Md Saifuzzaman rejected the bail prayer after hearing both the prosecution and defence in the case filed with Tejgaon Police Station. Earlier on Sunday, Bubli was detained from the capital’s Mirpur area. She was later (on Monday) produced before the court of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Dhaka with a prayer of keeping her in jail for the sake of the investigation into the case.
