UN chief Guterres pledges full support for Bangladesh’s democratic transition

United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres says he fully supports and stands in solidarity with Bangladesh’s ongoing democratic transition and reform initiatives, according to state news agency Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha (BSS). He made the remarks after meeting a delegation led by Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus at the UN Headquarters in New York on Tuesday. Foreign Advisor Touhid Hossain, National Security Advisor Khalilur Rahman, Principal Secretary Siraj Uddin Miah and SDG Coordinator Lamiya Morshed were also part of the delegation.
