Former state minister Shamsul Alam released from jail on bail

Shamsul Alam, former state minister for planning, has been released from Dhaka Central Jail after being granted bail in a case linked to the killing of Jubo Dal leader Shamim Mollah. Dhaka Central Jail Jailor AKAM Masum confirmed the release. He said, “He [Shamsul] was freed around 7:30pm on Monday."
