3 organizations provide Tk over 88.66 crore to BLWF | News

The companies provided the fund at a rate of 0.5 percent of their annual profit following the Bangladesh Labour Act-2006 (Amended 2018), a PID handout said here today. The Cheques of the money were handed over to the adviser to the Ministry of Labour and Employment Brigadier General (Rtd) Dr. M Sakhawat Hussain at his Bangladesh secretariat office here. Among the given funds, Grameenphone Ltd provided Taka 68 crores 80 lac 61,500, British-American Tobacco gave Taka 15 crore 98 lac 30,757 and Edotco Bangladesh Company Ltd. gave Taka three crore nine lac 42,086, the handout said. The provided money will be credited to the BLWF and will be spent for socio-economic development of the labours of the country....
