Home advisor points to ‘Indian instigation’ in fuelling Khagrachhari unrest

Home Affairs Advisor Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has lent weight to suggestions that “Indian instigation” may be behind the ongoing unrest in Khagrachhari, sparked by the alleged gang rape of a Marma schoolgirl last week. Speaking to reporters in Dhaka on Monday, he was asked about allegations that arms and funds were being channelled from across the border amid longstanding calls for the region to be annexed by India.
