A child has succumbed to his injuries from an air-conditioner explosion at his home in Dhaka’s Jatrabari, just days after the death of his father from the same incident. Nine-year-old Tanvir, who suffered burns on 40 percent of his body, died during treatment at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery on Sunday, according to the institute's resident surgeon Dr Shawon Bin Rahman. His father, 38-year-old private sector worker Tuhin Hossain, had died on Wednesday. Tanvir's mother, 30-year-old Eva Akter, and younger brother Tawhid, 7, remain in hospital care.
