JOHANNESBURG, Sept 29, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Ivory Coast club ASEC Mimosas became the first high-profile casualties of 2025-26 CAF Champions League qualifying on Sunday after losing a penalty shootout against Zambian visitors Power Dynamos. Souleymane Fofana scored after 52 minutes to give former African champions ASEC a 1-0 win in the first round second leg in the Ivorian commercial capital Abidjan despite having Seydou Sacko sent off. The narrow victory levelled the aggregate score at 1-1 after Power Dynamos had won the first leg last weekend through a solitary goal from Innocent Kashita.
