Titas Gas authorities have been unable to restore supply 12 hours after a main transmission line exploded in Tangail. Around 14,000 consumers across two Upazilas remain without gas, causing significant disruption. The supply was cut after the line exploded and caught on fire in Shibpur of Sadar Upazila, around 8:30am on Sunday. Titas Gas Assistant Engineer Ramzan Ali Munna said gas supply has been cut off in Sadar and Mirzapur Upazilas, and repair work is under way. Meanwhile, electricity supply for around 200,000 customers in Tangail Sadar, Nagarpur, and Delduar Upazilas was cut off after electricity poles were found atop the gas pipes.
