BNP begins water hyacinth removal programme in Khulna | District

KHULNA, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) on Sunday launched a water hyacinth removal programme in Khudia canal at Daulatpur–Aranghata area of Khulna city. Student Affairs Secretary of BNP National Executive Committee Rokibul Islam Bokul inaugurated the campaign as chief guest. Speaking at the event, Bokul alleged that the previous governments misused public funds in the name of canal dredging without carrying out necessary work. “As a result, the canal was filled with silt, leading to flooding during the monsoon season,” he said.
