Discussion on International Right to Information Day held in Khulna | District

KHULNA, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - A discussion meeting was held this afternoon atthe Khulna Deputy Commissioner's conference room to mark the InternationalRight to Information (RTI) Day. This year's theme is "Ensuring the Right to Information in the Digital Age toProtect the Environment". Speaking as the chief guest, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Md. Taufiqul Rahmansaid that Bangladesh passed the Right to Information Act in 2009, whichremains unique among all national laws as it empowers citizens rather thanimposing restrictions."Through this law, people can seek information from government offices, whichfosters accountability.
