A violent clash has occurred in Khagrachhari’s Guimara, where Section 144 was already in place, leading to a fire in a market. The incident took place at Ramessu Market around 1pm on Sunday, said Khagrachari District Commissioner Mohammad ABM Iftikharul Islam Khan. Several shops in the market were burnt, and nearby houses were also damaged. The market, located approximately 100 yards from the Chattogram-Khagrachhari road, became the centre of chaos as videos and photos of the fire spread on Facebook, showing shops engulfed in flames.
