DMP intensifies security measures during Durga Puja: Commissioner | News

DHAKA, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjad Ali today said that security measurers has been intensified in all Puja Mandaps so that the devotees could celebrate the Durga Puja in a peaceful manner. Adequate security measures have been taken in all 254 puja mandaps in Dhaka metropolitan area, he said while visiting Dhakeshwari National Temple in old Dhaka. According to the Police Headquarters information, a total of 71,066 police personnel have been deployed at all puja mandaps to ensure foolproof security. Meanwhile, security has been further strengthened through joint efforts of the Puja celebration committees, police and Ansar members.
