Man gets life-term for killing wife in Shariatpur | District

SHARIATPUR, Sept 28, 2025 (BSS) - A court here today sentenced a man to life-term imprisonment for killing his wife at Senerchar Madbarkandi under Zajiraupazila of the district in 2007. District and Sessions Judge Md. Solaiman delivered the verdict on Sundayafternoon. The convict is Ilias Sikder, a resident of the same area. He is absconding. According to prosecution, on November 30, 2007, Ilias Sikder brutally killedhis second wife Aleya Begum with the help of his first wife Ratna Begum andburied her body in the veranda of her house.
