Another 845 new patients have been admitted to hospitals across Bangladesh with dengue in the past 24 hours, taking the overall tally of admissions this year to 46,051. It is the highest number of hospital admissions from the mosquito-borne disease in a single day this year, surpassing the previous record of 740 on Sept 21, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS). Four more people died from dengue during that time, taking the death count to 192 as of Sunday, the DGHS said in its daily bulletin.
