Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) is set to introduce triple-play and quad-play services in the country for the first time. Faiz Ahmad Taiyeb, chief advisor’s special assistant on ICT, announced the initiative in a Facebook post on Saturday night. In telecom marketing, triple-play refers to unlimited video, voice, and high-speed internet services, while quad-play adds wireless connectivity to the package. Taiyeb wrote that BTCL will provide unlimited voice calls through BTCL’s MVNO, mobile SIMs, and the BTCL Alap IP Phone service, subject to certain conditions.
