DSCC launches plantation campaign stretching 31 kilometre road medians | Others

DHAKA, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS) - Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) today launched a plantation campaign to plant trees and grasses on road medians stretching 31 kilometers of streets within its purview. DSCC administrator Md. Shahjahan Mia inaugurated the campaign to expand green patches in the southern part of the city under a plan called "Zero Soil" programme to be carried out in two phases with an aim of planting ornamental flowering trees and grasses. “Covering the medians with green patches is part of our efforts to enhance the city’s beauty and curb environmental pollution,” he said.
