Durga Puja to be celebrated in Thakurgaon temple after 16 years | District

THAKURGAON, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS) - After a gap of more than a decade and ahalf, all necessary preparations have been completed to celebrate Durga Pujaat the historic Sri Sri Rasik Roy Jiu temple in Thakurgaon. The long-standing section 144 has been withdrawn from the temple premisesfollowing a significant compromise between the two conflicting parties at theinitiative of the local administration. As a result, permission has been given to organise Durga Puja at thistraditional place after a long time. Currently, idol artists are busy makingidols and decorating the mandap.
