BNP's Mirza Fakhrul says Yunus’ UN speech on elections was ‘strong enough’

Yunus, the head of Bangladesh's interim government, told the UN on Friday that preparations were underway for the polls while his administration was pursuing reforms to ensure transparency, accountability and the rule of law. Speaking to reporters in New York afterwards, Fakhrul said there was “no doubt among political parties” about the timing of the election, state news agency BSS reports. “The speech was strong enough.
