Protesters block Dhaka-Ctg Highway after student killed by bus in Gazaria

A 14-year-old student has died after being run over by a bus on the Dhaka–Chattogram Highway in Munshiganj’s Puran Bawshia area. The accident occurred around 9:45am on Saturday, prompting her classmates and local residents to block the road in protest. The victim, Shrabonti Akter, was an eighth-grade student at Gazaria Government Technical School and College. Gazaria Police Station chief Anwar Alam Azad said that Shrabonti was waiting at the roadside to cross the street to go to school when a Dhaka-bound bus of Star Line, moving at high speed, ran her over.
