No case filed six days after Tongi chemical warehouse fire that killed four

Six days have passed since a deadly fire broke out at a chemical warehouse in Gazipur's Tongi, but authorities have yet to file a case in connection with the incident. On Saturday, the death toll from the blaze climbed to four after Fire Service officer Khondakar Jannatul Nayeem passed away during treatment at Dhaka’s National Burn and Plastic Surgery Institute. Nayeem, a warehouse inspector, had suffered burns over 42 percent of his body while battling the flames, which also claimed the lives of two other firefighters.
