Over 131,219 prisoners receive legal aid | Others

DHAKA, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS) - The National Legal Aid Services Organization (NLASO) has provided government-funded legal assistance to 131,219 prisoners across the country from 2009 to August 2025. The information was revealed in a report published on the website of NLASO, detailing legal support provided during the period. The report stated that, till August 2025, 131,219 prisoners received legal aid at government expense. According to the report, a total of 12,82,997 people have so far benefited under this service, which is dedicated to providing legal support to the underprivileged and justice-seeking citizens.
