Tongi blast: one more fireman dies | News

DHAKA, Sept 27, 2025 (BSS) - One more fireman who sustained severe burn injuries in the explosion of a chemical warehouse in Tongi on September 22, died at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS) this morning. Warehouse Inspector (officer) of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) Khondoker Jannatul Nayem (38) succumbed to his burn injuries at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery (NIBPS) around 10 am today. NIBPS Resident Surgeon Dr Shawon Bin Rahman confirmed the death, saying that Nayem was undergoing treatment at the institute with 42 percent burn injuries.
