Election Commission to host first-ever conference for polling officers

The first-ever “Election Officers’ Conference” is set to take place, with both central and field-level officers participating. The event is scheduled for Saturday at the auditorium of the Nirbachan Bhaban in Dhaka. The conference comes at a time when the government has given its consent to amending the law to launch a dedicated “Election Commission Service” for the EC’s own officers.
