EWU holds orientation to kick off academic year for new students

East West University (EWU) ushered in approximately 1,800 newly admitted students for the Fall Semester of 2025 through an orientation programme. The event, held at EWU’s Aftabnagar campus in Dhaka, included individual departmental sessions designed to introduce students to academic guidelines, course structures, faculty, university regulations, and available support services, a media statement read. The ceremony saw the participation of several distinguished guests, including Prof Mohammed Farashuddin, chairperson of the Board of Trustees and founder vice-chancellor of EWU; Prof Shams Rahman, vice-chancellor of EWU; Professor Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, pro-vice chancellor of EWU; and Air Commodore (retd) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, treasurer of EWU.
