A youth has been killed in a clash between two groups during a mediation meeting in Brahmanbaria’s Nasirnagar Upazila, following a verbal altercation at a bag factory in Dhaka. In the aftermath, houses in the area were vandalised and looted. Nasirnagar Police Inspector (Investigation) Tanvir Ahmed said the incident took place on Wednesday afternoon. Following the incident, the area has been deserted by men, fearing arrest or retaliation. Meanwhile, many families have fled the village with women and children in panic.
