Sarjis Alam, organiser of the National Citizen Party North, has warned of street protests if his party is denied the “Shapla” electoral symbol. On Wednesday, Sarjis said Shapla, like the BNP’s paddy sheaf, is a symbol that NCP has a right to. “If we are deprived of our rightful symbol, we will be forced to take to the streets,” he said after a coordination meeting of the Sunamganj NCP unit.
