DHAKA, Sept 24, 2025 (BSS) - A Dhaka court today sent former general secretary of banned Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) Ajay Kar Khokon to jail, rejecting his bail petition in a case filed under the Anti-Terrorism Act. Metropolitan Magistrate Juwel Rana, on behalf of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM), passed the order after Detective Branch (DB) of police produced Khokon before the court following his arrest from the city's Gulshan area. DB sought his confinement in jail until completion of the investigation, while Khokon's lawyer submitted a bail prayer, which the court turned down.
