Typhoon Ragasa makes landfall in southern China: weather service | International

YANGJIANG, China, Sept 24, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - Typhoon Ragasa made landfall insouthern China on Wednesday, the national weather service said, afterbattering Hong Kong and killing at least 15 in Taiwan. "Ragasa made landfall along the coast of Hailing Island, Yangjiang City,Guangdong Province around 5 pm (0900 GMT) on September 24," the NationalMeteorological Centre said. In Yangjiang, AFP saw ferocious winds ripping signs off buildings, downingtrees and destroying fences.
