Tongi fire: Another firefighter succumbs to injuries

Another firefighter who suffered burn injuries while trying to douse a fire at a chemical warehouse in Gazipur's Tongi has passed away in a hospital in Dhaka. The fire extinguisher, Nurul Huda, worked at Tongi Fire Service and hailed from Mymensingh's Gafargaon. Nurul Huda died around 2:40pm on Wednesday, September 24, at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Talha Bin Jashim, media cell officer at the Fire Service and Civil Defence, told Jago News. Around 100 per cent of his body was burnt in the fire, according to the hospital sources.
