Two killed as truck crashes into stationary vehicle in Rajbari

A truck driver and his aide have died after another truck ploughed into their stationary vehicle while they were changing its tyre in Rajbari. The accident happened around 1am on Tuesday on the Rajbari-Kushtia regional highway in the Kalyanpur area, according to Aladipur Highway Police Station chief Md Shamim Sheikh. The victims were identified by their first names as Nazmul, 35, and Kawser, 30. Police said their vehicle, loaded with vegetables, had set off from Kushtia for Dhaka. One of its tyres popped when it reached Kalyanpur, forcing the driver and his assistant to stop and make repairs.
