Two Hizb-ut Tahrir members arrested in City | Others

DHAKA, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS) - Police have arrested two members of the banned militant organization Hizb-ut Tahrir from the Motijheel area of the capital early this morning. The arrestees have been identified as Md. Amjad Hossain Bukhari and Mahdi Hasan, both aged 22. According to a press release issued by the Motijheel Police Station, the two were apprehended around 6:30 am from beneath the metro rail structure near pillar no. 617 in front of the City Center. Police said the duo was caught red-handed while attempting to put up posters promoting the banned group "Hizb-ut Tahrir, Ulayah Bangladesh."
