Court tasks CID with fresh inquiry into IU student Nowrin’s death

A Dhaka court has ordered the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) to carry out further inquiry into the murder case of Nowrin Nusrat Snigdha, a law and land management student at Islamic University, after the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) submitted its final report. Metropolitan Magistrate Md Tajul Islam Sohag passed the order on Tuesday, granting the no-confidence petition filed by Nowrin’s father Khondkar Nazrul Islam.
