A leader of the Bangladesh Ganatantrik Chhatra Sangsad (BGCS) has been accused of beating up 50 students for allegedly failing the half-yearly examination of a secondary school in Rangpur. The incident took place on Sept 4 at the city’s Harati Keshorghat High School, but came to light on Tuesday. The students’ guardians and locals have expressed anger over the incident.
