461 mandaps set for Durga Puja in Gazipur under tight security | News

GAZIPUR, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS) - The Sharodiya Durga Puja celebrations are set to begin at 461 mandaps across Gazipur, with strict security arrangements in place to ensure a peaceful and joyous occasion for the Hindu community. Gazipur's Superintendent of Police Dr. Chowdhury Md. Yaber Sadik confirmed that 340 puja mandaps have been set up across the district's six upazilas. Meanwhile, 121 mandaps will host celebrations within the Gazipur Metropolitan area, according to Deputy Police Commissioner of the Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Md. Rabiul Hasan.
