Mother, daughter granted bail over taking baby | District

KHULNA, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS) - A Khulna court today granted bail to Shahajadi Begum and her mother, Nargis Begum, who were arrested after taking a newborn boy from a local clinic in an effort "to protect Shahajadi's marriage". Judge Md Sharif Hossain Haidar of the Khulna Metropolitan and Sessions Judge Court granted bail without any bond, considering special circumstances, said Advocate Sheikh Rafiquzzaman, lawyer of the accused. Earlier, on September 15, police arrested Nargis and Shahajadi from a local clinic in the Rupsha area of the city.
