Massive tree plantation to combat pollution stressed in Khulna | District

KHULNA, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS) – The Administrator of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) and also the Divisional Commissioner, Md Firoz Sarkar, today stressed the need for massive tree plantation to combat pollution. “Environmental degradation is caused by our own activities. We must refrain from actions that lead to ecological disasters,” he said, highlighting climate change as not only a global challenge but also one deeply linked to people’s daily lives. He made the remarks at a daylong workshop on “Environmental Conservation and Measures to Address Climate Change” at the conference room of the Divisional Commissioner’s office in Khulna.
