DHAKA, 23 Sept, 2025 (BSS)-The Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change has decided to demolish illegal shops, structures and revoke their licenses along the bank of Cox’s Bazar sea beach. The Environment Ministry sent a formal letter to the Ministry of Land to take immediate action against these unauthorized structures. The ministry noted that under the Bangladesh Environment Conservation Act 1995, and the Ecologically Critical Area (ECA) Management Rules 2016; no permanent or temporary structures harmful to the environment can be set up within the designated ECA zones, the press release said.
