Durga Puja to be celebrated at 156 mandaps in Dinajpur border area | District

DINAJPUR, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS) – Sharadiya Durga Puja, one of the largest religious festivals of Hindu community, will be celebrated at 156 puja mandaps in the border area in Dinajpur. Dinajpur BGB Sector Commander Colonel Md. Ariful Islam confirmed this and said that there are three Border Guard Battalions under the Dinajpur BGB sector. As per the rules, the government has deployed BGB members to maintain law and order within eight kilometers of the border area. This year, three BGB battalions will be responsible for maintaining law and order at 156 puja mandaps in the areas.
