LONDON, Sept 23, 2025 (BSS/AFP) - A UK judge will sentence an Ethiopian asylum seeker on Tuesday after his conviction for sexually assaulting a teenage girl and a woman, in a case that ignited weeks of angry anti-migrant protests. District Judge Christopher Williams warned Hadush Kebatu earlier this month that he faces a jail term after finding him guilty of five offences, including two of sexual assault and several other related charges. The sentencing is due at a court in southeastern England at 10:00am (0900 GMT) following a three-day trial that ended on September 4.
