Case filed against actor Ananta Jalil, wife Barsha over alleged fraud

A garment businessman has filed a case against AJI Group Managing Director and film actor Ananta Jalil, his wife Afiea Nusrat Barsha, and three others on charges of “criminal breach of trust and fraud”. The case was filed on Aug 20 at Savar Model Police Station by Elias Mia, owner of garments factory Rabbi Textile. The other accused are Akram, Munir, and Kamrul, employees of AB Apparels Ltd, another company owned by Ananta, according to the plaintiff. Two of the suspects, Akram and Munir, have secured bail after surrendering before a Dhaka magistrate court.
