Japan hands over cyclone shelters in Barishal to boost disaster preparedness | Others

DHAKA, Sept 22, 2025 (BSS) – Japan government has handed over newly constructed cyclone shelters in Barishal under its Grant Assistance for Japanese NGO Projects, aimed at strengthening disaster prevention and resilience in the district. First Secretary in Japan embassy in Dhaka Karasawa Shinju, attended the handover ceremony on Sunday and praised the initiative carried out by Japanese NGO Good Neighbors Japan with support from the Japanese government, said a press release here today.
